The Guardian Newspaper recently wrote about this venue:

"Othona West Dorset, between Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury, offers a wealth of courses, community weekends, specialist breaks and family celebrations which are genuinely physically and spiritually nourishing. All are welcomed regardless of religious leanings or lack of them."

We have access to the beautiful natural grounds which include woodlands and sea views. A path leads through the grounds to the coastal path and Cogden Beach.

Each standalone workshop is limited to a maximum of twenty people so early booking is reccommended. Since we are focusing on Nature and the seasons of the year you may attend any or all three workshops.

There will be plenty of opportunity to take in the scenery and soak up the beauty of this beautiful location. Should we be bothered by weather, the eco-friendly Four Seasons Studio offers a warm and modern haven for creative minds with opportunties for breakout groups as needed.

Peter Roe is a prize winning poet, a former Bard of Dorchester, host of Bridport's Spoken Word Apothecary and founding editor of The Jawbone Collective. Peter’s poems have been  widely anthologised. Highly commended in 2021 for his collection About Time. His quest for love and his adventures in online dating are the subject of many poems that appear in his third collection of poetry Love Hertz.

Peter delivers writing workshops that provide a safe space to inspire participants to delve into their creativity, gain confidence, and find their own unique voice. Each workshop will involve a variety of methods and exercises to inspire and motivate. Whilst some may feel comfortable sharing their writing, it is not necessary in order to take part. We offer a fun and supportive creative space in a beautiful environment.
