Workshops from Jawbone

These writing workshops provide a safe space to inspire participants to delve into their creativity, gain confidence, and find their own unique voice. Each workshop will involve a variety of methods and exercises to inspire and motivate. Whilst some may feel comfortable sharing their writing, it is not necessary in order to take part. We offer a fun and supportive creative space in a beautiful environment. By partnering with published South-West writers Harula Ladd, Estelle Phillips and Poppy-Jayne Jones we will be able to give you a different perspective on the world and enhance your workshop and learning experience.

Two full days for seasonal workshops at one of the most beautiful locations on Dorset's Jurassic Coast.

Location near Bridport... 'Othona' on the Coast Road
between Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury

Pre-Booked Places Only

We have access to the beautiful natural grounds  of 'Othona' which include woodlands and sea views. A path leads through the grounds to the coastal path and Cogden Beach.

Each standalone workshop is limited to a maximum of twenty people so early booking is reccommended. Since we are focusing on Nature and the seasons of the year you may attend any or all three workshops.

There will be plenty of opportunity to take in the scenery and soak up the beauty of this beautiful location. Should we be bothered by weather, the eco-friendly Four Seasons Studio offers a warm and modern haven for creative minds with opportunties for breakout groups as needed.

Hosted by Southwest poet and publisher Peter Roe and The Jawbone Collective

The Guardian Newspaper recently wrote about this venue:

"Othona West Dorset, between Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury, offers a wealth of courses, community weekends, specialist breaks and family celebrations which are genuinely physically and spiritually nourishing. All are welcomed regardless of religious leanings or lack of them."
